circumference - 7 inches (opening is about 1 inch)
width - 1 5/16
This is an amazing bracelet! Most openwork bracelets of the era stay on one smooth level, but this one is carefully handmade to look as if pieces wrap around each other--it draws the eye in and around. Even the ends have little flourishes.
Measurements are above, taken at widest points. The width measurement does NOT include the opening. The opening now is about 1 inch; you can make it larger with gentle pressure--or by taking it to a jeweler. Total circumference right now is about 7 inches.
Condition is vintage very good. There is some overall wear and light scratching, which shows in the photos. However, I'm not sure if that's actual wear or part of the handmade design and feel. A tiny bit of tarnish could polish out, but overall this bracelet is so shiny that it reflects everything that comes near it--so a lot of shadows you see here will actually be reflections of my blue camera or black shirt.
A very fine modernist piece that could even go from the midcentury back to art deco / Machine Age looks ... Depends how big a statement you want to make!
From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home.
Thank you for looking!
