What an incredible piece of 1960s history from "The Nations Capital Department Store" : Woodward and Lothrop- note dress is made of the same material but has the designer (Harold Levine) tag instead of the department store. The coat and dress set are incredibly made. The gold swing coat buttons at the top and has deep pockets. It is lined in the same pink chiffon that is used on the dress. The Dress is an incredible tribute to the early 1960s - such a Jackie Kennedy or Princess Margaret vibe. It is boned on the bodice, for added support and has the most extraordinary front bow. The chiffon is the most delicate pink fabric that gives this dress such a perfect air when you walk around. Dress zips up the back and the chiffon buttons over it so you don’t see the zipper! Best fits size Small to Medium.

The department store is no longer in business, but this dress and coat set came from the Chandelier Room, which was housed on the third floor of their main building in D.C. Good vintage Condition- an ever so slight discoloration on the edge of the underarms-I didn’t notice until I was photographing it under the bright studio lights. One of the bust “flaps?” is not tacked down, but they sit atop another bodice and the boning makes it stand up on its own anyways. One small stain on the hem. It does have a slight cedar smell to it.
