Vintage 1960s Drop-waist Mini Scooter dress. Super cute dress!

This is a silk blend, most likely silk/poly. The colors are a tan/brown and lavender on a white bg. Faux flat ascot with a faceted bakelite button accent. No rips, tears, stains etc. in perfect condition!

No size tags but measures out to a modern size large.

Waist - 32

Drop waist: 40

A little drop waist history: The drop waist dress was made wildly popular in the 20s with the dot hung of the corset and adopts toon of a tall Lean figure being preferred in fashion. By the mid 1960’s the style became popular again. The free movement the drop waist dress gives allows for lots of dancing, running and jumping - perfect for the new freedom of women in both eras! 60’s styles tended to fit a little more closely to the body giving a sporty look whereas the 20s style was loose and feminine.
