A fun and festive vintage cocktail or party dress, this mod 1960s dress and jacket set in off white has a surprise hidden underneath the cropped jacket: iridescent bright pink paillettes and a matching pink satin bow! The white fabric is medium-weight, most likely a blend of rayon and acetate, with a slightly slubbed surface, similar to shantung. The short jacket has a single covered button fastening the stand collar, and three-quarter-length sleeves. The sleeveless dress has an empire waist, with paillettes and silvery glass beading above this underbust seam. The bodice is fitted and the bust darts create a high pointy shape, you will want a push-up bra (or vintage bullet bra) under this dress for best fit. Below the empire waist/underbust seam, the skirt section is fairly straight through the natural waist and gently flared from hips to hem, for a modified A-line shape typical of mid 1960s dresses. In very good condition, this 60s dress and jacket set has some missing beading at the top of the left shoulder strap, and along the edge of the scooped neckline, in back (see photos). The missing beading could be replaced, or the rest of the beading removed to make this less noticeable. The dress is totally wearable as it is, however, with no other flaws to note. The beading that is still present is in nice condition and the fabric is sturdy. This mod 60s party dress would also make a fabulous vintage wedding dress!Size: XS DRESS Bust: measures 33" flat to fit approx. 32" Waist: measures 30" flat to fit approx. 28" or smaller, loosely Hip: measures 38" flat to fit approx. 35" or smaller, loosely Length: 38. 5" shoulder to hem Underarm to underbust seam length: 3. 5" Shoulder to shoulder: 13" JACKETSleeve length: 20. 5" Length: 13. 5" from center back of neck to hem LABEL: none
