How often do you come across a wedding dress from 1964 that includes the original veil, a photo of the actual bride and groom, and to top it off- a letter from the daughter describing her parents' love story? The dress was handmade for the bride and it's beautiful! There is tulle underneath, buttons going down the back, a bustle hook, and flower appliques. The back buttons work just fine but I didn't want to rebutton them for the full length back photo for fear of stressing the fabric more. Material feels like satin-y taffeta.

It is in excellent condition but here are the minor flaws- some of the buttons on the back have the fabric coming loose as pictured. I'm thinking for this price and this special dress it would be worth having the buttons redone. A couple of the leaves on the veil are missing but honestly I would get creative and do a remix of this veil anyway. But definitely wear it because it's that special! There are no odors and it's amazingly clean for it's age. There is mild dirt on the very bottom from the wedding day which is shocking. I wore my dress for only a few hours and it was filthy on the bottom. This bride took amazing care of her dress!
