This vintage necklace is from the seventies however the millefiori elbow bead is most likely antique. The history behind this type of piece is precisely why I love vintage jewelry... Beads like this were conceived & crafted in Venice 1800's, then revered & traded in West Africa and then repurposed into jewelry & imported into the USA in the 1960's. Necklace 17" long, bead 2&1/8" x 5/8". A few specks of tarnish on the chain otherwise in good pre-loved condition. Mosaic flower motif, muted colors of green, yellow, red & white. Matte finish. Unique, cross continental adornment!
