60’s Red Princess Coat

Exquisitely stylish tailoring. Decorative buttons at round notched lapel and back down the center pleat. Vertical pockets. Midnight blue satin lining. Self-fabric belt. Heavy cotton or cotton poplin. Buttons imitate an antique coin known as the Maria Theresa thaler. They read Archid. Avst. Dux Burg. Co. Tyr. 1780 X which stands for “Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy, Countess of Tyrol”. No label but based on the buttons, I believe the coat is from Austria.

Very good vintage condition overall. A few minor spots and smudges near bottom hem. Most notable is one larger, 4 inch smudge mark on the back about half way down from the waist. Nothing detracts significantly from this gorgeous piece but price has been adjusted accordingly. See photos for details.
