60’s Psychedelic Barkcloth Caftan$74.00
60s (or early 70s) psychedelic bark cloth kaftan. Looks to be home sewn. The fabric is a Hawaiian cotton barkcloth with head to toe neon flowers in blue, yellow, green, orange and purple. The background, where it peeks through is black, so it really sets the bright colors off! The back is mostly black with floral bouquets. Dress has a mandarin collar and zips down the front with a 23" metal zipper. Half sleeves are roomy under the arms, dolman style. Caftan slopes out to ankle or floor length hem, depending on your height. There is one pocket in the left side seam at the hip. Will fit a variety of sizes. I show it on two different mannequins, one is a size XL and one is size Small (see measurements of the caftan below). A repair with an inside patch was done near the zipper at waist level, see last photo. Hard to see because the print is so busy. Groovy 60's flower power loungewear, hostess gown or beach cover up!
