This fuzzy wool felt, ombré green 1960s cloche-style hat channels the fabulous flappers of the 1920s. Green vinyl leaf appliqués and red glass crystal bead berries give this stylish-yet-cozy-warm winter hat a touch of holiday flair! Made in Austria, the hat was created using the same sort of furry wool felt often used for classic Tyrolean (or Bavarian, or Alpine) Austrian hats. The deep, rounded crown is intended to sit relatively high on the head's definitely a cloche hat from the 1960s, not the 1920s. However, if you have a small head size, it may fit lower. (On my 21. 5 hat size head, it pulled down low enough that it was hard to see out from under it!). Also, there is an extra band of red velvet underneath the front section of the inner grosgrain band, which may have been added to make the hat smaller. It could possibly be removed, making the hat ever so slightly larger. The very narrow brim is wired on its outer edge only, and can be shaped a bit. It appears that the brim was designed to be worn turned down, as shown, but you could experiment with turning it up on one side--or however you like. The hat is in very good condition: the wired brim edge is a bit unevenly curved, and there is one missing berry glass bead. Its dramatic tall crown will make quite a statement, and the Alpine wool felt will keep your head warm on a frosty day!
