A deadstock, unworn 1960s day dress in green plaid poly-cotton blend, this classic mid-century staple, the humble-but-very-versatile housedress, would have been worn for casual daytime activities, those times where now we might wear leggings, for example! The dress has short sleeves, a notched collar, and a double-breasted, button-front design, with vertical darts for shaping. Below the waist seam, the straight skirt has 2 small pleats, front and back, that add just a bit of fullness at the hip. The narrow, self-fabric belt still has the original paper hangtag attached to it. A single slit pocket is hidden in the right side seam. The crisp, polyester and cotton blend fabric still has its original fabric finish; it will soften up a bit with future laundering. This perky, preppy plaid 1960s day dress is in excellent to mint condition, unworn, with no flaws to note. Labeled a vintage half size (20), it may fit best for a curvy petite, see measurements for more details about size, and feel free to contact us with any questions. Our last photo shows the dress unpinned from the mannequin, to give a better idea of its actual size/fit.
