Label: Echo Scarfs, Inc. Blason, 100% Pure Silk, Made in Japan
Featuring a black and gold crisscrossing pattern of fleur-de-lis with scalloped edges against a bright green background, the design of this deadstock 1960s silk scarf by Echo is named Blason. Meaning a coat of arms (or the shield upon which the coat of arms in displayed), in French, the design has a certain medieval-meets-martial flair! The scarf is made of a fine, lightweight, twilled silk, with hand-rolled edges trimmed in black. The long rectangular shape is great for tying at the neck, around the head as a headband, or as a sash. Founded in New York City in 1923, the Echo scarf brand has long been known for their high quality print silk scarves, and this is a lovely example! It is unworn, with its original tag still attached, in excellent to mint condition.
