60’s Figural Print Gray Black White Cropped Sweater$24.00
DETAILS: This cute top dates to late 1950s to mid 1960s. It was most likely part of an ensemble, and used as a "popover", offering an alternate way of wearing a coordinating dress or skirt. I can see it being added over a slim fitting solid color dress, or as an accent with a pair of black leggings or slim pants. The top is fitted to the body with vertical and diagonal darting in front with narrower vertical darts in back. Three quarter length sleeves are batwing. The jewel neckline, sleeves, and bottom hem are finished with slightly glossy black braid. Three large flat black buttons accent the bottom - they are nonfunctional.
SIZE: No size label
Approximate bust - 36" (91. 5 cm)
Approximate shoulders - 15. 5" (39. 5 cm)
Bottom hem circumference - 33" (83. 75 cm)
Length from shoulder seam - 17. 75" (45 cm)
FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is a lightweight jersey knit, with a figural print done in black and gray against a white background. Based on a fiber burn test, it seems to be a cotton/acrylic blend. I machine washed this using gentle cycle, and it did well.

CLOSURES: Closes down the back with five pearly plastic dark gray buttons.
CONDITION: I have repaired an opening seam on the right cuff. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
