This chic little cocktail dress is late 1950s to early 1960s. Very Audrey Hepburn, a Little Black Dress that will never be out of style! The dress is sleeveless, with a fitted bodice and wide scooped neckline. The inset waistband is more than 2" wide, making your waist look tiny. The slim skirt is softly pleated into the waistband in front.

FABRIC/COLORS: Medium weight slubbed fabric with a slightly silky feel - most likely a rayon blend, based on a fiber burn test and the overall "hand". Color is inky black. The dress is fully lined in a finely woven black cotton.

TAGS: Suzy Perette, New York. Plus a small tag from Lord & Taylor, Fifth Avenue where the dress was originally purchased.
