This deadstock vintage, circa early 1960s blouse by Ship n Shore is made of iridescent, changeable-color, cotton blend fabric in sapphire blue with a woven design in copper brown. The blouse has a banded hem that ends at about the high hip area, with decorative pocket flaps in front. Shiny gold buttons trim the flaps and fasten the front of the blouse, up to a round, Peter Pan collar. The short sleeves are shown cuffed up twice, although they could also be worn un-cuffed if preferred. The overall shape of the blouse is slightly blouson or boxy above the fitted band at the low waist/high hip (somewhat reminiscent of Dior's H-line). It has inverted pleats, in front only, just above the hem band. In very good to excellent condition, this classic casual top from the early 1960s has never been worn, and has a tiny manufacturers flaw in the fabric weave as its only issue (see close-up photo). It is crisp and ready to wear!
