This vintage 1960s dress uses a simple sophisticated silhouette that comes alive on the body, set off beautifully by the black and white color scheme! Slightly curvy shift silhouette with boat neckline and kimono style sleeves with dramatic use of color blocking. Set off beautifully by the large bow motif with flower and vining elements done in contrasting yarn that cascades down the front. The skirt has short sideseam slits for ease in walking.

SIZE: No size label. The model usually wears a 2-4 and it was not pinned on her.

FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is medium weight, looks like loose weave homespun on the "right" side, tighter weave on the "wrong" side - see close-up. All fabric edges are serged, so nowhere safe to take a snippet for a burn test, the fabric is fairly soft with a dry hand - I would guess it's a rayon/cotton blend. A small tag recommends dry clean only. Colors are black and white. The crewel work is done in a cottony blend.
