This vintage 1960s dress almost certainly came with an underslip type dress when it was originally made. It did not come to me with an underslip, which opens all sorts of creative possibilities for styling. The most obvious option is to wear it over a slip - white, black, or a contrasting color. But you could also wear it over a flesh toned body stocking, or over a tank top and leggings.
The basic silhouette is shift, with a slight trapeze/triangle, flaring out from below the bust to the hem. The elbow length sleeves are similarly shaped, flaring into a bell.

CONDITION: I have repaired an open seam under the left arm. There is some reddish color turn to the more solid parts of the lace, which can be seen in the closeup. In that photo on the inside of the dress, you can also see some tiny white puffs along the cut fabric edge -those are the inside part of the very thin satin cording that is part of the lace. Most of these would not be noticeable when worn, but a quick fix would be to touch a black sharpie to the white puffs one at a time.
