A boho floral pattern in pink, purple and white really pops against the black background of this late 1960s dress. The mid-weight, textured fabric is most likely a blend of cotton and acetate (feels more like cotton). The U-shaped scoop-neck bodice is fitted with vertical bust darts and a center front seam. It has a slightly raised (or empire) waist seam, and three-quarter-length sleeves that are puffed and gathered by the elastic at their hems. The midi-length skirt is gathered into the raised, flat waist seam, creating a bit of fullness from natural waist to hem. The dress comes with a wide sash belt made of grosgrain, in black and fuchsia stripes. The bodice is self-fabric lined (2 layers of floral fabric); the skirt is unlined. There are 2 side seam pockets in the skirt, hooray! The dress fastens in back with an invisible zipper. In very good condition, the dress has one very faint spot on the skirt, well hidden by the busy print (see photo). This late 1960s haute dress by Rodrigues is versatile enough to go from casual daytime activities to fancy cocktail party with just a change of accessories!
