This hand-beaded, black wool knit 1960s pantsuit combines a tunic-length top and a straight-leg pant, for a casually elegant evening look! The top has lavish black glass beading around the curved neckline, and along the scalloped edges of the flared sleeves and hip-length hem. The top is most fitted at the shoulders, with bust darts for shaping. The A-line tunic hem and the flared sleeves echo each other’s silhouette nicely! The fitted, high-waisted pant has a narrow waistband that fastens with a single hook above the nylon, side seam zipper. Darts shape the pant’s hips for a curvy fit. Both pieces are a mid-weight wool knit, and both are unlined. So, they do have a bit of give to them, as reflected in our measurements--although not nearly as much as modern “stretchy” clothing does. They are both in excellent condition. Wear these fun 1960s pantsuit pieces together, or wear the pant with other tops, and pair the top with other pants or skirts. Or, perhaps wear it alone, as a micro mini-dress?
