60’s Dress Aqua and Purple Print$60.00
This shirtwaist-style, early 1960s day dress with a full, pleated skirt features a fun print of geometric shapes, in shades of aqua blue, purple, and white. The fitted bodice has short, cuffed sleeves and a rounded collar above a V-neck opening. Three purple plastic and brass buttons fasten the front of the bodice, above a single hook closure at the fitted waist seam. Small pleats below the waist add fullness to the approximately knee-length skirt. The center back of the dress bodice has a neat design, with several flat pleats. The cotton and polyester blend fabric is quite lightweight, and semi-sheer. In excellent condition, this cute print day dress from the early-to-mid 1960s has no issues to note other than the missing, original belt (thread belt loops still present). It was probably originally sold as a juniors style or petite dress, based on the relatively short length of the bodice (see underarm to waist length measurement).
