This is a truly magnificent Vintage 1950's cocktail dress made by the infamous "Lilli Diamond of California". This particular dress was a Frederick's of Hollywood Exclusive piece and could not be found anywhere else! It is featured in the Hollywood Boulevard Frederick's "Night-Timers" add (see photo!)
The description in the ad reads "Sheer Madness- Dressy Sheath type with trumpet pattern made with godets of lace. Twill finished Barathea taffeta material. Saucy crumb-catcher under bust figures a cowl that goes over the shoulder to form a V in back. Lace over nude taffeta emphasizes bust. features glistening rhinestones.
It is made of black matte taffeta with nude taffeta in the godets and the bustline. The nude taffeta is covered with a black lace overlay and it has a full black shiny taffeta lining. The bodice has a crumb catcher collar that extends over the shoulders into a deep oven V back. The sweetheart neckline is accented with rhinestones. The waistline has rows of darting in the front and back that create the sexiest hourglass silhouette. It has a side metal zipper with a top hook & eye closure. The hemline stands out majestically with a mermaid crinoline added and twirls and flows beautifully without one. This is a vintage lover's dream dress, it is completely and utterly breathtaking!

Labeled a vintage size 12- No stretch, please use the measurements for an accurate fit.

Excellent condition, seam, and fabric integrity. There are a few small scuffs on the right hip (see photo)- no other issues or imperfections.
