Fantastic 1950s hat of woven synthetic straw in a color that looks to me like a dark salmon--a bit of a mix of orange and pink. I've never seen another hat like this one. It features a velveteen snail with pearls topping the tentacles! The velveteen is wrapped around a wire frame so the snail keeps its shape and can be manipulated at bit. The hat has a narrow brim around which black netting is wrapped and this drapes in a short half-bow in back. The hat measures 9. 5" by 9" across the bottom and the inner band is about 20. 5". This rests back on the crown and should fit most sizes.
