As you can see by the last picture I wore this to a winter Christmas party by adding a scalloped white mink collar and white mink cuffs to the sleeves of the jacket. The white rabbit muff and white mink hair band added the right touches. But if you are not into impersonating Mrs. Claus, I think this could make a great dress for the bride or the wedding party.

I lowered the sleeve hem to add the cuffs, and it can be left down, or hemmed back up. I am not sure if I added the snap to the front of the jacket, but it can be easily removed. And lo and behold, I just found a huge matching button in a sewing box! I must have removed it so the fur could be attached, and never put it back on. It is back on now, and makes all the difference, so ignore photos where it it missing.

The other alteration was to lengthen the shoulder straps an inch, and I did not do a great job...my sewing was sloppy, as I did not intend to have the back of the dress show. Again, if you want to tidy it up, it will be an easy fix. This is a sturdy cotton fabric that should last another 50 years. The tailoring is amazing. No hem at the bottom...it has been let down as far as it would go. The dress has a satin lining, the jacket does not. Just a gorgeous dress and bolero jacket. This is my favorite style, as the bolero always makes the bust look larger and the waist thinner! va va voom! I have seen other Junior House dresses go for as much as $ 180. As this has no permanent flaws, I am charging $160. 00.

Still reasonable for a very special outfit, that you can get a lot of use out of.
