This pale-gold plated metal necklace is composed of individual thin bar shaped links making this choker lay well around your neck. Each link measures 1.25 inch each. They are textured open work components with some texture to them. It is a small choker size of 15.5 inches and closes with a hook clasp with peanut chain allowing it to adjust to a smaller size.

This metal necklace is circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. They were usually plated many times giving it a rich gold finish. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
