Did you know a a group of butterflies is known as a kaleidoscope? How amazing is that? I mean, whoever's job is that to name groups of things really nailed this one.
This kaleidoscope dress is blue and green--2 colors that look so sweet, demure, and very, very 1950's together. I was going to keep this one, in fact, as you can see by the last photo, I wore it on our vacation to Montreal this summer. I'd just bought it and I was so in gah with it, that I packed it. Plus, it begged to be shown off after probably being in someone's closet for way too long. I'm glad it got to see and be seen, and I'd wear it again next summer, but we're hosting an Chinese exchange student in a few weeks and I have to give up the rack space in the guest bedroom so up for sale it goes.
Things I can vouch for:
-It's incredibly soft and comfortable to wear.
-So many options for belts and both loops are intact and ready to be used!
-It goes great with a crop blue cashmere sweater for those colder Canadian summer nights.
-It very much enjoys art, although it felt a tad embarrassed at its simpleness at the recent Thierry Mugler exhibit (then again, what 1950's sundress wouldn't?).
This dress is the epitome of a simpler time. It begs for a picnic, and a book, and a glass of lemonade. Does that sound like you? If so, no need for a butterfly net, this kaleidoscope is yours.
