Extremely rare beverage glasses, ca. 1955, designed and made by the Libbey Company for Richfield Oil Corporation (which became Atlantic-Richfield in 1966, then ARCO). MCM-style applied pattern and Richfield eagles around the bottom. These feature the Libbey "Safedge," guaranteed not to chip. Original corrugated box included.
A great piece of Americana for the collector as a display, or use them in your home.
Each glass: 11-ounce capacity, 2 3/8" dia., 4 7/8" high.
Very good condition. Appear unused, but there are 3 or 4 places where the decals around the bottom have chipped (see photo). Could be from rubbing against the box, or they may have been used. Otherwise, look perfect. Box is rough: Cover is missing; shows fair amount of wear, with one corner taped up.
