Beautiful medium weight red silk with a woven-in Asian style floral jacquard design is worked into this classic New Look 1950s shirtwaist dress with three-quarter length cuffed sleeves, fitted and darted bodice, nipped waist, and full skirt.
Self-piping around the notched collar, sleeve cuffs, and center front.
Does up the center front from the collar to the waist seam with three pretty self-fabric silk knotted buttons as pictured. There is also a concealed 6" zipper at the center front of the skirt, and a metal snap and hook and eye at the waist seam.
Nipped waist and beautifully pleated full skirt with a 110" bottom sweep as pictured.
Unlined. No pockets.
Please note that the red silk was very difficult to photograph and appears more orange than it is in person - the true color is a lovely blue red best shown in the closeup of the Dynasty label.
Shown with a crinoline and black velvet belt for inspiration only. Both the crinoline and belt are not included.
DESIGNER LABEL: Dynasty / Trade Mark / Made in Hong Kong / British Crown Colony
