A beautifully designed hat with Harlequin design, embellished with rheinstones and feather. Hat base is red wool, and a black wool braid helps form the diamond shapes. The feather is spindly, and can easily be changed, or added to. Fits a 22 size head. The label reads R. H. Sterns Co., which could be a 1950's era department store in Boston, or a Boston milliners. Back when women wore their hair short, Like Doris Day, or in a French twist, these tiny hats were just the ticket!
The only flaws I can find is that there are a one or two missing rheinstones that should be centered in each of the harlequin diamond shapes. These can be found at any craft or textile shop.
