1950's Charming by Atlas Fan and Flowers Wicker Handbag

This is a Lovely Wicker Handbag With the Depiction of a Fan done in Pink and White with Little Blue Flowers and Faux Pearls. This design is hard to fine now. There are Green Leaves and a Gold Ribbon within the Design. It is bordered in beige and gold trim. The handles and frame are Caramel Lucite. Inside there is a large slide pocket at the back of the bag. There is a zipper compartment in the middle and two large sections on either side of the zipper compartment.

Some History of Charming by Atlas Handbags - These were always made from a Heavy Wicker Straw that was often glossed as this one is. They had a plastic film on the front making up a windowpane. Underneath there was a scene with shells or items made from plastic. The most popular ones were the under water scenes with a Hawaiian feel or Little Poodle Dogs. Atlas was a Leading Department Store in Hollywood in the 1950's. They created and designed a line called Princess Charming made in Hong Kong often with Lucite Handles and Frames plus Brass Fittings. Many of these characteristics are illustrated in this Handbag Listed.

Near MINT Condition - This Beautiful Handbag is qualified as Near Mint Condition. The Lucite is Perfect with no cloudiness. The Coated Wicker in Mint Condition. There is a small black spot on the zipper section inside. There is an area on the front Design that has a stain (see photograph #3). It is not obvious and is a light color. This is a Lovely Purse to add to Your Collection and to Wear with Your Favorite Vintage Dresses or for Casual Wear.
