These were usually used for storing nylon stockings or hankies. This is big vintage fun. In the 50s, a popular trend was putting silk flowers under clear vinyl. It was done with purses too. You can see it's not perfect. First one dark mark is UNDER the clear plastic, shown. Some small marks did not come out. Also the top is supposed to be attached but it fell off and was re-attached with clear shipping tape for photos but then removed. You can always fix it with wide clear tape, like shipping tape.
