50s Pale Pink Strapless Cocktail Dress Rhinestone Trim$50.00
This pastel pink rayon faille 1950s strapless cocktail dress has sparkling rhinestones, pearls, and metal studs trimming its sweetheart bodice, below the pink velvet piping along its top edge. The bodice is boned front and back and lined in pink rayon taffeta. The narrow skirt is unlined, with small pleats below the waist in front to add a bit of fullness at the hips, and a slit at the back hem for ease of walking. The dress fastens with a metal zipper in the side seam. In very good condition, this pretty-in-pink 1950s strapless dress has a few tiny marks on the skirt and shows some wear to the surface of the metal studs (originally brass-colored, but now mostly silver-colored). The fabric covering the buckle on the matching belt has yellowed, probably because of the glue used to attach it. You could recover it, wear it as is, or choose to leave the belt off entirely. The textured faille fabric really does a number on my camera's focus, but the weird zigzag patterns are not present in real life!
