This pale-gold metal necklace is composed of many links making this choker lay well around your neck. Each link has interlocking oval shaped, twisted chain links hanging from a thick tight cable chain upper. They measure .75 inch wide. The plating is a pale yellow-gold. It is a small choker size of 15 inches. The large decorative closure is 1 inch wide. The chain and closure are cast metal, making this a substantial necklace.

This metal necklace is circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
