Mid to late 1950s professional construction with no design label present, with a milliners union label and an imported wool stamp at the interior. The hat is styled as a classic pillbox toque hat with a recessed crown, grosgrain ribbon detail and a stunning aurora borealis sunburst brooch embellishment. The intended fit is as shown, at the top crown of the head. Hair or hat pins may be used to help secure the hat in place.
