This 1950s wool suit is classic and elegant. It's made of a very nice navy blue wool and lined with purple acetate. The jacket is fitted and has a very flattering shape. I love the wide collar and round covered buttons down the front. The buttonholes are beautifully made. There are medium-sized pads sewn into the shoulders under the lining. The skirt has a set in waist band and two pleats on each side in front, a kick pleat in back, and a silver metal zipper for closure. It is lined from the waist to about halfway down. There is a 5" hem. It's in good condition, with a sprinkling of moth nibbles here and there - nothing that goes all the way through, due to lining and doubling of fabric. The jacket lining is lighter under the arms pits. It is a custom-made suit with no labels.
