Natural straw flat brim hat. Shallow crown is wrapped in a dark taupe velvet ribbon with the front bow. Flat wide brim has small wired curled edges and the underneath has grosgrain covered wired placement prongs.

Inner circumference is 20 inches. Crown has a rise of 1 inches and the brim extends 4 inches in the front, 3 inches on the side and 2 inches on the back.

There are some condition issues. The velvet ribbon is very worn and showing age. Also on the outside brim top left is a tiny age spot. On the underneath brim which you can't see is 3 more tiny age spots. I have photographed these areas closely.

Label is Martin's which was a specialty apparel retailer in the New York metropolitan area, with its flagship location on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. Starting in 1903 it grew to six stores by the mid 1970s, before being sold to the operator of Times Square Stores in 1977. Also there is an adjustable tag.
