50's Moroccan Style Cuff Bracelet$40.00
This bracelet is a great example of a 50's cocktail cuff bracelet. It measures 7. 5 inches which is an average size for a woman's wrist. Each 1 inch wide link is hinged to the next giving it a slinky feel. Even the 1 inch end findings are detailed with the Moroccan style open work. The bright gold multiple plating is in excellent condition. The fold over box clasp is original and works well. There are no makers marks on it.
The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
This style of accessory was usually worn at fancy cocktail parties, which were very popular at the time.
Aqua Lady Vintage sells this type of vintage necklace often since it was well made, usually plated multiple times and had unique design. The bright gold tone plating is still in excellent condition. The chain links are a unique shape and have a nice weight to them. The hinges are still lose and functional.
