50s Men's Suit Coat Jacket Rockabilly Red Flecked Sharkskin$95.00
This is a wonderful vintage 1950s men's suit jacket - it can be styled conservatively for the Mad Men look or taken in the direction of Viva las Vegas Rockabilly with a change of accessories. The jacket is styled with lightly padded shoulders and medium width notched lapels. The body is gently fitted, with a center back vent. There is a besom left chest pocket and a pair of bound handwarmer pockets with flaps, as well as a small faux flapped watch pocket above the right handwarmer pocket. The lining is cropped in back, typical for this era - it has inner bound pockets on both sides of the chest front. Seams are beautifully finished using clean-stitching.

Shoulders 18" (46. 5 cm)
Approximate waist 39. 5" (100. 25 cm)

FABRIC/COLORS: The suiting fabric is wonderful, a silky surfaced black with red flecking. Based on a fiber burn test, this is most likely wool/silk blend. The lining is lightweight black faille.

CLOSURES: Three flat black plastic buttons, with three smaller matching buttons on each sleeve cuff.
CONDITION: After careful inspection, I found a pinhole near the left rear cuff, and the top buttonhole is slightly wonky - see closeups.
