1950's Maxim Lucite Clear Handbag with Rhinestones and Roses

This is a Beauty, with a Beveled Diamond Cut on the Front and Back. The ends are clear so you can see through the handbag. On the Front there are 45 rhinestones and on the back there are 3 gold tone Metal Roses. The Top of the Bag has a Large Button Closure with a Rhinestone Look also.

Maxim Handbags - This particular handbag does not have a name on it, but it has been attributed to Maxim. Even as early as 1947 Maxim Handbags were featured in Retail Store Ads. The Maxim Handbags with Rhinestones were very Loved then as they are Today. They were well known for their Diamond Carved Handbags. On page 65 of Janice Berkson's "Carry Me! 1950's Lucite Handbags there is an example of this Rhinestone Style in Clear. Janice Berkson estimates that these handbags to be made between 1953-56.
