Such a shame. In its day, this was quite a lovely piece. Very well made too. It's more 50s than 40s. When it was soaked the black trim and lining did not fade onto the coral portion of the smoking jacket. However this has got a lot of stains and problems so it's only good for a costume. The smaller marks all over th efront aren't really stains but uneven discolorations in quilting, uneven quilt filling from being soaked. Zombie usually works well here: a 50 zombie? a glam zombie? Three quarter length sleeves. It's got all the vintage touches it's just not good for anything but costume or study or pattern or the individual pieces like the pearls and the trim could come in handy along with the buttons.
