These drop earrings are an abstract shape with several components. The bottom double bead components measure 1 inch and have a detailed filigree top. They hang from a thin .5 inch bar. The .75 inch, beveled diamond shaped top is etched with nice detail. These are plated gold. Since they are hollow, they are light weight. They drop to 2.25 inches.

These earrings are circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time, Lewis Segal. ***Please note that the earring tops are contemporary studs that have replaced the original clip-on backs.*** These, as most earrings from this era, were clip-on style. I have secured the contemporary gold filled studs to the original earring tops to appeal to the majority of customers who prefer pierced earrings. The original clip-on backs marked, " Lewis Segal California" and a patented mark will be included, just FYI. Contemporary ear nut backings are included.

The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
