This necklace is large and gaudy. It is an antiqued gold metal. The triple chains measures 23 inches long. The three, dangling tassel pendant measures 1 inch each and the long one is 3. 5 inches. The entire giant open work, Indian style pendant measures 5. 5 x 2 inches. The necklace is weighty, but not heavy. The fold over box clasp has nice detail in the closing components.

This metal necklace is circa 1970 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
