50s Lanvin Costillo Designer Silk Scarf

A gorgeopus and rare Jeanne Lanvin / Costillo silk scarf with extremely hip Mid-Century artistic brush strokes.
This luxurious and soft silk scarf is a thick and study silk, and measures 31" x 31" .
Lanvin scarves this size sell new for about $300! This rare collectable should sell for more, but there are 2 extemely tiny pin prick holes that I have found, so not quite in mint condition, but such a minor flaw!

Antonio del Castillo (1908 -1984) began his career in Paris in the 1930s, designing for Paquin and Piguet. In 1945 he went to New York to work at Elizabeth Arden. While in New York he also designed for the theatre and for the New York Opera. In 1950 Castillo was appointed couturier at Lanvin. There he followed in the tradition of Lanvin, with designed influenced by her famous robes de style. During his time there, the label became known as Lanvin-Castillo. He left Lanvin in 1962 to return to Elizabeth Arden. He remained there until 1965, when he opened his own business for private clients. He also designed for the movies.
