Some History of the Jolles Original Company and the Lady Herself - Ida Jolles began her company in 1923 in Vienna. This was a luxury brand in the mid 20th century and was sold to high end stores such as Saks and Bergdorf Goodman. In an era when women were not leaders of businesses, she employed 20,000 craftswomen and controlled 90% of the global market. Her accomplishments were many and there was a book written about her by Ian Fleming. Ingrid Bergman and Humphery Bogart had starring roles in the black and white film.
