1950s' dress with fabulous Hawaiian/Polynesian border print on a cream background. Has an embellished bodice; shaping darts to the seamed, fitted waist; and pleated skirt. Back metal zipper. Skirt is full, but not a circle; shown with a narrow crinoline and without a crinni.

This dress has built-in "alter-ability" at the top. The shoulder straps were left as "tabs" at the inside back of the dress. They can easily be unstitched and re-stitched to make the bodice sit higher or lower on your body, as/if needed.

From an estate in which several dresses were custom made for the owner, and this appears to be one. Very nicely done.

SIZE: Estimated "best fit" for a size 8 to possibly a 10. Shown clipped to fit a size 6/8 dress form, and there was enough room for fit ease, depending on your own measurements. We recommend you compare the garment dimensions to a similarly styled dress you own that fits you well. There's no stretch to the fabric, so please be sure to leave that ease for fit!

CONDITION: Excellent. Has been professionally dry cleaned and came out beautifully. Two of the original rhinestones on the bodice were missing. I replaced these with some nice metal beads that coordinate well with the original stones and beads, then added some in strategic places so that they don't look out of place.
