1950s linen suit by Ben Zuckerman, well known for Paris-inspired designs and expert suit tailoring. This fabric is a high-quality linen in a mid-century modern abstract striped pattern. The colors are gold, brown and cream. The jacket is cropped, with patch pockets on the breast, dolman sleeves, notched collar, notched waist and large dome-shaped covered buttons. The skirt is a straight shape, with slight gathering at the waist, a side metal zipper and hooks and eyes for closure at the waist. Both pieces are lined with beige silk. Label on the inside of the jacket from William Penn Hat & Gown Shop, Pittsburgh. Excellent condition.
