This 1950s vintage cocktail suit was painstakingly custom-made by M. K. Moustakim & Sons Dressmakers, apparently in California. The short jacket has three-quarter length sleeves, closes with a single large button, and is lined in what appears to be off-white silk. The pencil skirt has a back zipper and is lined in a white fabric. Both pieces are made in a gold lame brocade. No size label is present, of course, but based on the measurements, we are estimating the suit to be in today's 10-12 size range. JACKET MEASUREMENTS
- Shoulder width is 17"
- Chest is 39" at two times underarm width.
- Length is 19. 5" down center back excluding collar.

SKIRT MEASUREMENTS
- Elastic waist is 30" unstretched.
- Hips are 41" at about 9" below waist.
- Length is 23. 25" including waistband.

CONDITION
Jacket has a loose button and minor wear at collar fold. Skirt has no apparent laws.
