50s Emerald Green Taffeta Dress Slip Barbizon Style$58.00
Exquisite vintage emerald green taffeta full slip similar to the collectable Barbizon Tafedda (taffeta) slips of the same era. Circa 1950s.
Lovely lightweight crisp woven rayon taffeta in emerald green as pictured.
Single layer sweetheart neck front bodice with vertical darts and self fabric straps with black enameled metal slides to adjust the shoulder length.
Nipped waist and beautiful flaring skirt.
Pinked seams throughout the inside.
I'm 5'4" and this comes to a few inches below my knee. It may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.
This is an adjustable hem slip as the bottom hem can be lengthened approximately 1/4" with a few snips of the scissors.
Slips on over the head with no buttons or zippers.
Perfect to wear under a sheer dress or blouse.
There are no labels of any kind, however this appears to be commercially made.
CONDITION: Excellent condition - there are no stains, odors, fading, discoloration, holes, rips, snags, pics or tears. The only thing is a few areas on the adjustable hem where the thread has come undone as pictured.
SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern Extra Small.
MEASUREMENTS:
Bust: 33" Underarm to Underarm
Waist: 27"
Hips: 36"
Bottom Sweep: 42"
Length: 35" - Top of Bodice Cup to Bottom Hem
A gorgeous slip - or wear it as a slip dress.
