This is a darling 50s ball gown made of cream silk. The bodice is simple and has a straight neckline that is decorated with lovely ab crystal beads with fringed loops of iridescent bugle beads. It has wide shawl-like straps that are also covered in the beading. The bodice is fully boned for support. The skirt is full and simple in the front and falls to the floor. In the back, the dress is bustled just below the waist and has a fun little bow at the waistline. The dress zips up the back with a snap on the bow and a hook and eye at the top. The skirt does have its own attached petticoat of tulle and it is attached at the waistline. (Dress is displayed with only the attached petticoat.) The skirt is also lined in thick tissue silk and has a horsehair braid at the hem to help give shape to the skirt. The dress is labeled Cotillion Formals.
Condition:
The dress is in great overall condition with only one flaw to note. There is some very faint pink color staining the bodice, mostly along the back. It is hardly noticeable and I don't think it really came up on camera at all, but it is there. It is really hard to see and does not take away from how stunning the dress is. The dress has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
