The royal blue and black abstract-design cotton of this 1950s dress is printed with white dogwood blossoms—a bold and beautiful combination! The dress has classic early 1950s details including a notched, scoop neckline, a center-pointed underbust seam with a narrow band of self-fabric trim, and cap sleeves. The fit-and-flare silhouette of the dress is created by the many vertical panels or gores, starting below the underbust seam, that widen from the narrow waist to the fullness of the hem. The flared, full skirt has 2 pockets, and is shown here over a crinoline, which is not included. The dress fastens with a metal zipper in back, and still has its narrow, matching fabric belt. This true vintage, dark floral print 1950s cotton dress is in excellent condition, with no flaws to note.
