50's Pale Pink Collar Length Pearl Necklace$150.00
Epitomize the prim-and-proper lady of the 1950's with these pale pink pearls...
A classic staple of the 1950's housewife, or the ladies who lunch, this pearl necklace adds a touch of soft femininity to any outfit. This collar length necklace features 58 larger pearls in a pale pink (known as Creamrose in the pearl world) tone, plus two more smaller 'closure' pearls finishing each end -for a total of 60 pearls! These are strung together with a strong thread (similar to deergut thread), except for the 'closure' pearl which have a gold metal base, and rings attaching them to the safety clasp. This ovoid-shape safety clasp is in a bright gold, thin metal, with an ornate reticulated surface, and the locking clasp mechanism is v-shaped prong that loops into the base (very cleverly making it next to impossible to lose, or have this necklace snatched off one's neck). Overall condition is excellent, with a very light stain/patina to one of the 'closure' pearl's bases. Please see photographs for full details. No maker's marks or hallmarks to note.
Measurements:
