50s Circle Skirt Abstract Floral Paper Circle Skirt 50s Pellon Full Circle Skirt$95.00
1950s circle skirt.
Abstract floral paper circle skirt.
50s Pellon.
Pellon is a non woven textile invented in the 30s but not put to commercial use in clothing until the early 1950s.
Pellon was typically used as interfacing and often found in designer pieces of the time to add structure without weight. Think of those 40s and 50s dresses with the paper lining.
The fabric resembles wool felt in thickness and structure but feels much lighter. Heavy and sturdy (stiff) paper cut in a complete circle.
Black and maize yellow with blue abstract flowers. Almost look like feathers.
Shown with a crinoline - not included.
Set on wide waistband.
Closes via a hook.
Metal zipper.
Excellent condition.
